S&P Futures Opening Update as on 01 June 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,414.25 for up with  +0.13% percent. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Thursday, June 01. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,014.00 for up with  +0.06% percent . The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,803.62 for up with  +0.16 percent.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Thursday as investors parsed through a fresh batch of economic data.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes, which moves inversely to price, was lower at around 2.245 percent, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also lower at 2.906 percent.

On the data front, personal income rose 0.4 percent in April, in line with expectations, and consumer spending increased by 0.4 percent. Other data set for release Tuesday include the S&P Case-Shiller HPI (Home Price Indices), consumer confidence and Dallas Federal Reserve manufacturing data for May.

WEDNESDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market indexes were higher on Wednesday. For the day the S&P 500 closed at 2,411.80 with a loss of –0.05% percent. The Dow Jones Industrial closed at 21,008.65 with a loss of –0.10% percent. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,198.52  with a loss of  –0.08% percent.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,370.21 with a loss of -0.07% percent; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 832.17 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,721.69 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,062.91 with 0.00% percent; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,426.10 with a loss of -0.03% percent; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,336.18 with a loss -0.03% percent; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,008.65 with 0.00% percent.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,860.03 for up with  +1.07% percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 25,809.22 for up with +0.58% percent. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,102.62  with a loss of –0.47% percent. India’s S&P BSE Sensex closed at 31,137.59 with a loss of –0.03% percent. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,553.83  for up with  0.45% percent. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,649.80 for up with  +0.28% percent. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,318.82 for up  with  +0.67% percent. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 391.49   for up with  +0.40% percent.
