US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,428.25 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -6.25 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Tuesday, June 06. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,128.00 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -48.00 point . The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,867.88 with a loss of -0.22% percent or -13.13 point.

TUESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were higher on Tuesday morning as investors awaited the release of key economic data.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes, which moves inversely to price, was lower at around 2.147 percent, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also lower at 2.808 percent.

On the data front, Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) data for April released at approximately 10 a.m. ET. The U.S. quarterly financial report for the first three months of the year is also due at around the same time.

In oil markets, Brent crude traded at around $49.31 a barrel on Tuesday, down 0.32 percent, while U.S. crude was around $47.25 a barrel, down 0.3 percent.

Oil prices gyrated around low levels in choppy trading on Tuesday as investors feared multiple Middle Eastern countries cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar could undermine OPEC efforts to curtail a supply overhang.

U.S. market indexes were lower Monday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,184.04  with  a loss of -0.10% percent or -22.25 point. The S&P 500 closed  at 2,436.10  with a loss of  -0.12% percent or -2.97 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,295.68 with a loss of  -0.16% percent or -10.11 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,394.62  with a loss of  -0.83% percent or -11.70 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 846.01  with a loss of -0.69% percent or -5.90 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,743.62  with a loss of -0.43% percent or -7.49 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,074.00  with a loss of -0.03% percent or -0.36 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,441.775  with  a loss of  -0.19% percent or  -2.754 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,350.003  with a loss of  -0.15% percent or -2.092 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,184.04  with a loss of -0.10% percent or -22.25 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 25,997.14  for up with  +0.52% percent or +134.15 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,102.13 for up with +0.34% percent or +10.47 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,190.56  with a loss of –0.38% percent or –118.93 point. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,514.87 with a loss of –0.15% percent or –11.21 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,713.15  with  a loss of  –0.86% percent or –109.79 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,273.15 with a loss of –0.65% percent or –34.74 point.
