S&P Futures Opening Update as on 13 June 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,430.00 for up with +0.14% percent or +3.50 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Tuesday, June 13. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,201.00 for up with  +0.08% percent or +17.00 point . The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,737.12 for up with  +0.31% percent or +17.87 point.

TUESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Tuesday as technology stocks looked to bounce back.

Nasdaq futures traded 18.5 points higher, with shares of Amazon and Google-parent Alphabet climbing in the premarket. Other big tech names like Facebook and Apple also saw their shares rise before the bell.

Shares of chipmaker Nvidia also traded higher, rising 2.6 percent.

 Dow and S&P futures, meanwhile, rose 19 points and 4 points, respectively.

The Nasdaq composite posted its biggest two-day slide since December on Monday, as investors grew concerned that FAANG stocks – Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Google – which have propped up the sector, could be losing momentum.

U.S. market indexes were lower on Monday. For the day The S&P 500 closed at 2,429.39 with a loss of –0.10% percent or –2.38 point. the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,235.67  with a loss of – 0.17% percent or –36.30 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,175.46 with a loss of –0.52% percent or –32.45 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,421.7 for up with +0.11% percent or  +1.5 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 862.36  with a loss of  –0.20% percent or –1.75 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,759.00 for up with +0.08% percent or +1.46 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,070.71 with a loss of –0.11% percent or –1.19 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,439.97 with a loss of -0.09% percent or –1.28 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,346.41 with a loss of -0.08% percent or -1.10 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,235.67  with a loss of  –0.17% percent or –36.30 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,898.75 with a loss of –0.05% percent or –9.83 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 25,852.10 for up with  +0.56% percent or +144.06 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,153.74 for up with  +0.44% percent or +13.87 point. India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,103.49 for up with +0.03% percent or  +7.79 point. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,511.54 with  –0.00% percent or – 0.33 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,750.45 for up with  +0.47% percent or +60.01 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,255.33 for up with  +0.28% percent or 14.74 point.
