US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,563.50  with a loss of -0.15% percent or -3.75 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Wednesday, October 25. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,385.50 with a loss of -0.07% percent or -17.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,069.63  with a loss of  -0.16% percent or -9.87 point.

WEDNESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower Wednesday, as investors geared up for another cluster of economic data.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.448 percent at 7:30 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.957 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

While earnings are set to take the majority of investors’ focus on Wall Street, when it comes to movement in the bond markets, data will likely be the name of the game.

Durable goods data is set to be published at 8:30 a.m. ET, which will be followed shortly by the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s house price index due out at 9 a.m. ET.

The S&P 500 closed at 2,569.13  for up with +0.16% percent or +4.15 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,598.43  for up with +0.18% percent or + 11.60 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,500.42 for up with +0.20% percent or +2.93 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 911.15 for up with +0.26% percent or +2.38 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,831.19 for up with +0.34% percent or +6.28 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,131.82  for up with +0.15% percent or +1.67 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,522.88 for up with +0.16% percent or +2.49 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,423.93 for up with +0.16% percent or +2.30 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,441.76 for up with  +0.72% percent or +167.80 point.

India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 32,974.94 for up with +1.13% percent or +367.60 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,501.52  with a loss of –0.33% percent or –25.02 point.
