S&P Futures Opening Update as on 08 November 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,585.88 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -0.87 point. Other U.S. stock futures are Mixed in pre-market trading for Wednesday , November 08. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,483.50   with a loss of  -0.02% percent or -4.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,318.13 for up with +0.03% percent or +2.13 point.

WEDNESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were slightly lower on Wednesday as, with little set to come out during the session, investors awaited news from the political space.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.310 percent at 5:25 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.771 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

On the data front, weekly mortgage applications are set to be released at 7 a.m. ET. The U.S. Treasury is set to auction $23 billion in 10-year notes today.

 Politics is also expected to set a slight tone on Wall Street as U.S. President Donald Trump continues his journey abroad in Asia this week.

TUESDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were higher on Tuesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,557.23 for up with +0.04% percent or +8.81 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,590.64  with a loss of –0.02% percent or – 0.49 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,767.78  with a loss of  –0.27% percent or –18.65 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,479.09 with a loss of -1.26%   percent or –18.87 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 893.07  with a loss of –1.07% percent or  –9.67 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,830.62  with a loss of –0.69% percent or  –12.74 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,144.14 for up with  +0.03% percent or +0.37 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,532.14  with a lossof  –0.16% percent or –2.48 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,434.98  with a loss of  –0.07% percent or –1.03 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,557.23 for up with +0.04% percent or +8.81 point.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,913.82 for up with –0.10% percent or –23.78 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,907.60  with a loss of –0.30% percent or  –86.74 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,415.46 for up with +0.06% percent or +1.89 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,218.81 with a loss of –0.46% percent or –151.95 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,517.24 for up with +0.05% percent or +3.92 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,364.17 with a loss of  –0.12% percent or –16.02 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,467.40   with a loss of – 0.24% percent or –13.24 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 393.73 with a loss of 0.23% percent or -0.02 point.
