S&P Futures Opening Update as on 17 July 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,457.75 for up with  +0.07% percent or +1.75 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Monday, July 17. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,506.50 for up with  +0.06% percent or +12.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,852.62 for up with +0.16% percent or +9.37 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Busy earnings days are ahead, but it starts rather on a quiet note on Monday. Key bankers, technology companies and conglomerates would be reporting on the next weeks. Earlier signs from the U.S. Futures index points to a positive opening for Wall Street. Asian shares closed broadly higher, while European shares are trading mixed.
 the Dow futures were adding 20 points, the S&P 500 futures were progressing 2.00 points and the Nasdaq 100 futures were up 10 points.
In the corporate sector, Quidel Corp. (QDEL) said it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire the Triage MeterPro cardiovascular and toxicology assets and the B-type Naturietic Peptide assay business run on Beckman Coulter analyzers from Alere Inc. The total consideration of $400 million plus $40 million in contingent consideration.

For the day The S&P 500 closed at 2,459.27 for up with +0.47% percent or +11.44point. the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,637.74 for up with +0.39% percent or +84.65 point.The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,312.47 for up with +0.61% percent or +38.03 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,428.82 for up with +0.22% percent or +3.16 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 862.70 for up with +0.27% percent or +2.35 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,765.32 for up with +0.34% percent or +5.94 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,083.13 for up with +0.44% percent or +4.72 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,456.73 for up with +0.44% percent or +6.37 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,362.61 for up with +0.46% percent or +6.20 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,637.74 for up with +0.39% percent or +84.65 point.

India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,074.78 for up with  +0.17% percent or +54.03 point at 12:15 PM. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,417.35 for up with  +0.53% percent or +38.96 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,616.33  with  a loss of –0.12% percent or –15.39 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,241.71 for up with +0.12% percent or +6.40 point.
