S&P Futures Opening Update as on 28 february 2019

  

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,785.88 with a loss of  -0.33% percent or -9.12 point.  Other U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for  February 28. The Dow Futures is trading at 25,941.00 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -67.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,087.12 with a loss of -0.49% percent or -34.63 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures were lower Thursday morning, after the U.S.-North Korean summit in Vietnam ended without an agreement.

At around 05:45 a.m. ET, Dow futures were 57 points lower, indicating a negative open of more than 32 points. Futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were both seen relatively downbeat.

President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Unwere unable to reach a deal at the end of two days of meetings in Hanoi, the White House said Thursday.

WEDNESDAY’S ACTIVITY

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,985.16  with a loss of -0.28% percent or -72.82 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,792.38 with a loss of -0.054% percent or -1.52 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,554.51  up with +0.069% percent or +5.21 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,581.05 up  with +0.23% percent or +3.57 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 976.89 up with  +0.11% percent or +1.05 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,918.41 up with +0.12% percent or +2.23 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,227.68  with a loss of -0.067% percent or -0.82 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,654.16  up with +0.026% percent or +0.43 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,550.29 up with +0.010% percent or +0.16 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,385.16  with a loss of -0.79% percent or -171.35 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,633.18   with a loss of -0.43% percent or -124.26 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,940.95  with a loss of -0.44% percent or -12.87  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,938.34 up with +0.092% percent or +32.91 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,057.99  with  a loss of -0.69% percent or -49.21 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,463.93   with a loss of -0.20% percent or  -23.40 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,217.77  with a loss of  -0.15% percent or -7.58 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 371.16  with a loss of -0.37% percent or -1.38 point.
