S&P Futures Opening Update as on 14 March 2019

 

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,800.12  up with +0.10% percent or +2.87 point. Other U.S. stock futures Mixed in pre-market trading for  March 13. The Dow Futures is trading at 25,584.50  with a loss of -0.02% percent or -4.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,242.12 up with +0.11%  percent or +7.87 point.

WEDNESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Government debt yields were higher on Thursday morning, despite data showing anemic wholesale inflation in the U.S. and mixed economic figures from China

Stateside, investors are likely to closely monitor another fresh round of economic data Thursday. Weekly jobless claims and import prices for February will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. New home sales for January are set to follow slightly later in the session.

TUESDAY’S ACTIVITY

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,554.66 with a loss of -0.38% percent or -96.22 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,791.52 up with +0.30% percent or +8.22 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,591.03 up with +0.44% percent or +32.97  point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,549.83 up with +0.062% percent or +0.96 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 948.04  with a loss of -1.20 percent or -1.20 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,888.27  up with +0.16% percent or +2.98 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,232.94  up with +0.27% percent or +3.37 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,649.47 up with +0.28% percent or +4.60  point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,547.97 up with +0.30% percent or +4.58 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,  Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,287.02 with a loss of -0.015% percent or -3.22 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,755.70   with a loss of -0.18% percent or -51.75  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,977.92   with a loss of -1.62% percent or -49.03 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,753.22  up with +0.0028% percent or +7.55  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,188.06 up with +0.40% percent or +28.87 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,548.39 with   a loss of -0.21% percent or  -24.02 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,320.97   up with +0.28% percent or +14.60 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 376.89 up with +0.34% percent or +1.33 point.
