S&P Futures Opening Update as on 12 April 2019

 

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,904.12  up with +0.43% percent or +12.37 point.Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  April 12.The Dow Futures is trading at 26,296.00 up with +0.62% percent or +163.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,647.75 up with +0.40%  percent or +30.50 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note dropped to about 2.4933 percent, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond also fell to 2.9218 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.
UBS noted in an email Friday that the U.S. economy is decelerating but it is yet entering a recession. Furthermore, traders are keeping a close eye in the stock market with a new earnings season kicking in.

THURSDAY’S ACTIVITY

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,143.05  with a loss of -0.054% percent or –14.11 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,888.32 up with +0.0038% percent or +0.11 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,947.36   with a loss of -0.21% percent or -16.88 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,579.14 with a loss of -0.15% percent or -2.41 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 965.77 with a loss of -0.17% percent or -1.67 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 965.77 with a loss of -0.17% percent or –1.67 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,273.18  with a loss of -0.048% percent or -0.61 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,704.43   with a loss of -0.0092% percent or -0.16 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,601.27  up with +0.022% or +0.35 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,870.56  up with +0.73% percent or +159.18 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 29,764.44  with a loss of -0.25% percent or -75.01   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,188.63 with a loss of -0.042% percent or -1.34 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,593.57  with a loss of  -0.035% percent or -13.44 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,449.75  up with  +0.43% percent or +31.80 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,998.03 up with +0.53% percent or  +62.83 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,500.84 up with +0.28% percent or +15.13 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 387.30  up with +0.10% percent or +0.36 point.
