S&P Futures Opening Update as on 15 April 2019

 

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,913.38  up with +0.03% percent or +0.88 point. Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  April 15.The Dow Futures is trading at 26,449.50 up with +0.16% percent or +41.50 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,651.12  with a loss of -0.01%  percent or -1.13 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Market players are also carefully watching any Fed-related developments amid predictions of a potential cut in rates. Speaking to CNBC Friday, Mohamed El-Erian, Allianz’s chief economic advisor, said the Fed has gone from “too hawkish” last year to “too dovish” at the moment. Chicago Fed President Charles Evans speaks exclusively to CNBC at 8.30 a.m. ET.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,412.30  up with +1.03% percent or +269.25 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,907.41 up with +0.66% percent or +19.09 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,984.16  up with +0.46% percent or +36.80 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,584.80 up with +0.36% percent or +5.66 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 969.91 up with +0.43% percent or +4.14 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,965.42 up with +0.76% percent or +14.74 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,281.09  up with +0.62% percent or +7.91point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,715.42 up  with +0.65% percent or +11.00 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,611.96  up with +0.67% or +10.68 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,169.11  up with +1.37% percent or +298.55 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 29,916.30 up with +0.022% percent or +6.54   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,177.79 with a loss of -0.34% percent or -10.84 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,882.32  up with +0.30% percent or +115.21 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,443.27  up with  +0.084% percent or +6.21 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 12,028.90 up with +0.24% percent or  +29.07 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,515.00 up with +0.22% percent or +12.30 point.
