US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,007.62 up with +0.19% percent or +5.62 point.  Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  September 12.The Dow Futures is trading at 27,206.00 up with +0.23% percent or +62.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,923.50 up with +0.43%  percent or +33.75 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Futures on the S&P 500, Dow and NASDAQ 100 extended a Wall Street rally this morning, tuning into an improved trade outlook and expected dovishness by the European Central Bank. Incongruously, though, Treasurys and gold also gained ground, conveying an overall mood of cautious waiting.

This was also reflected in the STOXX 600 giving up its highest open since late July, to waver below neutral levels by late European morning. Early gains were spurred by further signs of U.S.-China trade de-escalation, after U.S. President Donald Trump said an upcoming round of tariff hikes on £250bn worth of Chinese imports will be delayed by two weeks. Trump’s goodwill move comes after China pledged to buy more U.S. agricultural goods ahead of trade negotiations next month.

For the day the Dow is trading at 27,137.04 up with +0.85% percent or +227.61  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,000.93 up with +0.72% percent or +21.54 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,169.68 up with +1.06% percent or +85.52  point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,575.71 up with +2.12% percent or +32.72 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 974.99 up with +2.10% percent or +20.08 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,964.11 up with +1.36% percent or +26.31 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,327.87 up with +0.79% percent or +10.43 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,761.06 up with +0.85% percent or +14.80 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,658.78 up with +0.76% or +12.49 point.
