US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,386.00 for up with +0.02% percent. Other U.S. stock futures are mixed in pre-market trading for Friday, May 05. The Dow Futures are trading at 20,861.50 with a loss of  -0.05% percent . The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,628.12 for up with +0.04% percent.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Friday as investors looked to the release of jobs data.

Nonfarm payrolls are set to come out at 8:30 a.m. ET, along with the unemployment rate and average hourly wages.

Economists polled by Reuters expect the U.S. economy to have added 185,000 jobs last month versus 98,000 in March.

Oil prices struck a new 2017 low on Thursday as mixed U.S. stockpile data compounded bearishness that has permeated the energy complex in recent weeks.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude fell below $46 and international benchmark Brent breached $49, both sinking to the lowest level since Nov. 30, the day the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries agreed to cut output.

U.S. market indexes were mixed on  Thursday. For the day the S&P 500 closed at 2,389.52 for up with +0.06% percent. The Dow Jones Industrial closed at 20,951.47 with a loss of  –0.03% percent. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,075.34 for up with  +0.05% percent.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,388.85 with a loss of  -0.15%   percent; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 844.99 with a loss of  –0.17% percent; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,724.18 with a loss of –0.19% percent; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,058.42 for a up with +0.01% point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,415.54 for a up with 0.02 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,324.05 for up with + 0.01%% percent; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 20,951.47 with a loss of –0.03% percent.

China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,103.04 with a loss of –0.78% percent. India’s S&P BSE Sensex closed at 29,858.80  with a loss of –0.89% percent. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,246.98 for a up with +0.02% percent. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,616.24 with a loss of – 0.25% percent.
