US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,435.25 for up with  +0.13% percent or +3.25 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Friday, June 16. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,343.50 for up with  +0.12% percent or +25.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,719.12 for up with  +0.17% percent or +9.87 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Friday as technology stocks attempted to come back from its latest pullback.

Dow futures rose 22 points, while S&P and Nasdaq futures gained 3.5 points and 10.50 points, respectively.

Tech stocks, the best performers of 2017 so far, briefly fell more than 1 percent on Thursday, pressuring the broader market. Still, the Dow, S&P and Nasdaq all closed well off session lows.

Shares of Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Apple and Alphabet all traded higher in the premarket. Snap shares also climbed more than 1 percent before the bell, bouncing from its IPO price of $17.

On the data front, Friday will see the release of housing starts, Atlanta Fed Business inflation expectations, consumer sentiment and oil rig count. The Fed’s Dallas President Robert Kaplan is also due to speak Friday.

For the day  The S&P 500 closed at 2,432.46 with a loss of –0.22% percent or –5.46 point. the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,359.90 with a loss of –0.07% percent or –14.66 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,165.50 with a loss of –0.47% percent or –29.39 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,410.08 with a loss of -0.53% percent or -7.49 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 856.96 with a loss of –0.49% percent or – 4.19 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,753.30 with a loss of –0.47% percent or –8.36 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,071.66 with a loss of –0.22% percent or –2.34 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,440.94 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -3.80 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,348.10 with a loss of -0.24% percent or -3.26 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,359.90  with a loss of –0.07% percent or –14.66 point.

India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,056.40 with a loss of –0.06% percent or –19.33 point. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,466.11 for up with +0.63% percent or +46.75 point.
