US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,465.00 with a loss of -0.28% percent or -7.00 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Friday, July 28. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,710.50 with a loss of -0.15% percent or -32.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,874.00 with a loss of -0.60% percent or -35.50 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were mostly lower on Friday, as investors await key data releases including gross domestic product (GDP).

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat in the black at around 2.328 percent, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was slightly up at 2.934 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

On the data front, GDP data for the second quarter will be the talk of the town on Friday, with the figures expected to come out at 8.30 a.m. ET.

 The Employment Cost Index will also come out at 8.30 a.m. ET, followed by consumer sentiment at 10.00 a.m. ET.

When it comes to the Federal Reserve, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari will be speaking at the Woodbury/St. Paul Chamber of Commerce event, in Oakdale.

U.S. market indexes were Mixed on Thursday. For the day The S&P 500 closed at 2,475.42 with a loss of –0.10% percent or –2.41 point The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,796.55 for up with +0.39% percent or +85.54 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,382.19 with a loss of –0.63% percent or –40.56 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,433.62 with a loss of -0.60%  percent or -8.66 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 866.69 with a loss of –0.41% percent or –3.54 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,771.02 with a loss of –0.32% percent or –5.67 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,092.25 for up with +0.07% percent or +0.78 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,465.88 with a loss of –0.18% percent or –2.67 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,371.50 with –0.15% percent or –2.03 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,796.55 for up with +0.39% percent or +85.54 point.

India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 32,233.18 with a loss of –0.46% percent or –150.12 point at 12:15 PM. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,398.81 with a loss of –0.59% percent or –44.20 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,161.36  with a loss of –0.41% percent or –50.68 point.
