S&P Futures Opening Update as on 03 October 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,527.50  with a loss of -0.06% percent or -1.50 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Tuesday, October 03. The Dow Futures are trading at 22,536.00 with a loss of -0.04% percent or -9.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,984.38 with +0.06% percent or +3.88 point.

TUESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

.S. government debt prices were lower Tuesday as investors turned their attention to the latest comments from a governor at the U.S. Federal Reserve.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.360 percent at 6.00 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.898 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

Looking to the U.S. central bank, Fed Governor Jerome Powell is expected to deliver remarks at a Reuters Conversation on U.S. financial regulation, where he is due to speak on regulatory reform.

 Elsewhere in central bank news, the Reserve Bank of Australia chose to keep its rates unchanged Tuesday, with the institution’s governor saying in a statement that the central bank expects economic growth to gradually pick up over the coming year.

U.S. market were  higher on Monday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 22,557.60 for up with +0.68% percent or +152.51 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,529.12   for up with +0.39% percent or +9.76 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,516.72  for up with +0.32% percent or +20.76 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,509.47 for up with  +1.25% percent or +18.61 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 916.99 for up with +1.44% percent or  +13.01 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,811.01  for up with  +0.84% percent or +15.07 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,116.74 for up with +0.41% percent or +4.55 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,502.63 for up with +0.48% percent or +7.20 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,402.72 for up with +0.42% percent or +5.82point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 22,557.60 for up with +0.68% percent or +152.51 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,099.45  for up with  +1.98% percent or  +545.15 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,348.94   for up with  +0.28% percent or  +9.30  point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 31,556.38   for up with  +0.87%  percent or +272.66 point at 12:15 PM .The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,443.36 for up with +0.06% percent or +4.58 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,902.65 for up  with +0.58% percent or +73.79 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,361.49 for up with +0.21% percent or +11.05 point.
