S&P Futures Opening Update as on 10 November 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,573.50 with a loss of -0.41% percent or -10.50 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Friday , November 10. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,361.50 with a loss of  -0.23% percent or –54.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,291.26 with a loss of –0.37% percent or -22.75 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were sharply lower on Friday, as investors geared up for fresh data, while keeping an eye on what’s going on in the political and economic space.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat sharply up at around 2.377 percent at 5:20 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was higher at 2.865 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

Looking to politics, President Donald Trump continues his trip across Asia this Friday. On the last trading day of the week, the incumbent brought the topic of trade to the table in Vietnam.

THURSDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were lower on Thursday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,461.94 with a loss of  –0.43% percent or –101.42 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,584.62 with a loss of –0.38% percent or –9.76 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,750.05  with a loss of –0.58% percent or –39.06 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,475.02  with a loss of -0.45%   percent or -6.71 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 893.16   with a loss of –0.43% percent or –3.82 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,826.20  with a loss of –0.54% percent or  –9.89 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,142.07  with a loss of – 0.29% percent or –3.36 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,528.40  with a loss of  –0.39% percent or –6.05 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,431.52 with a loss of  –0.39% percent or –5.60 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,461.94  with a loss of –0.43% percent or –101.42point.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,681.42 with  a loss of –0.82% percent or –187.29 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 29,148.83 for up with +0.84% percent or  +242.64 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,427.79 for up with +0.04% percent or +12.26 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,210.57  with a loss of –31.66 percent or –31.66 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,457.54 with a loss of –0.35% percent or –26.56 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,173.67 with a loss of  –0.07% percent or –8.89 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,390.04   with a loss of – 0.33% percent or –17.70 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 389.35 with a loss of -0.18% percent or -0.79 point.
