S&P Futures Opening Update as on 07 December 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,631.75 for up with +0.10% percent or +2.50 point. Other U.S. stock futures are mixed in pre-market trading for Thursday, December 07. The Dow Futures are trading at 24,154.00 with a loss  of -0.01% percent or -2.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,313.76 for up with +0.33% percent or +20.76 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

On the data front, jobless claims are expected to come out at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by Quarterly Services Survey data at 10 a.m. ET. Consumer credit is expected to be released later on in the day, at 3 p.m. ET.

 Elsewhere, the U.S. Treasury is expected to announce the size of two separate bills auctions, two individual notes auctions and a bonds auction.

While new economic releases are expected to shake up sentiment Thursday, politics is also expected to keep investors on edge.

WEDNESDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were lower on Wednesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 24,140.91 with a loss of –0.16% percent or  –39.73 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,629.27 with a loss of –0.01% percent or –0.30 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,776.38 for up with +0.21% percent or +14.16 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,508.88 with a loss of -0.52% percent or -7.88 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 923.34 with a loss of -0.51% percent or -4.74 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,871.10 with a loss of -0.43% percent or  – 8.03 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,162.51 with a loss of -0.01% percent or -0.13 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,555.51 with a loss of –0.08% percent or –1.29 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 146.45 with a loss of -0.03% percent or –0.04 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 24,140.91 with  -0.16% percent or –39.73 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,498.03 for up with +1.45% percent or  +320.99 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,282.96 for up with +0.22% percent or +62.48 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,272.05 with a loss of –0.67% percent or –21.91 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 32,802.74 for up with +0.62% percent or  +203.04 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,351.28 for up with +0.04% percent or +3.17 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,045.87 for up with +0.36% percent or  +47.02 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,386.00 for up with +0.22% percent or  +11.66 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 387.22 with +0.23% percent or +0.90 point.
