US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,867.50 with a loss of  -0.24% percent or -7.00 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Monday, January 29. The Dow Futures are trading at 26,568.00 with a loss of -0.14% percent or -36.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 7,012.00  with a loss of -0.26% percent or -0.26% point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Monday.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note was higher at around 2.716 percent at 5:00 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was higher at 2.954 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

Data is expected to be the name of the game Monday. At 8:30 a.m. ET, personal income and outlays are due out, followed by the Dallas Fed’s Texas Manufacturing Outlook survey at 10:30 a.m. ET.

 The U.S. Treasury is set to auction $48 billion in 13-week bills and $42 billion in 26-week bills. The size of a four-week bills auction, scheduled to take place Tuesday, is expected to be announced.

Looking to the political sphere, the U.S. administration’s security team is reportedly looking at options where the government could occupy part of the nation’s mobile network, in order to protect itself from China, Axios reported.

U.S. market were higher on Friday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 26,616.71 for up with +0.85% percent or +223.92 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,872.87 for up with +1.18% percent or  +33.62 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 7,505.77 for up with +1.28% percent or +94.61 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,608.06 for up with +0.40% percent or  +6.39 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 979.57  for up with +0.31%  percent or +3.01 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,995.23 for up with +0.40% percent or +7.88 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,258.04  for up  with +1.27% percent or +15.95 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,694.23 for up  with +1.07% percent or  +17.91 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,588.98 for up with +1.12% percent or  +17.63 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 26,616.71  for up with +0.85% percent or +223.92 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 32,966.89  with a loss of  -0.56% percent or  -187.23 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,523.00  with a loss of -0.99% percent or -35.13 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 36,361.07 for up with +0.86% percent or  +310.63 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,678.33  for up with +0.17% percent or +12.79 point.
