S&P Futures Opening Update as on 13 April 2018

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at  2,666.50 for up with +0.09% percent or  +2.00 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Friday, April 13. The Dow Futures are trading at 24,484.00 for up with +0.10% percent or +25.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,661.50  with a loss of -0.14% percent or -8.75 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

On Friday, economic data and speeches by members of the U.S. central bank are expected to keep bond investors busy.

 Looking to data, consumer sentiment and the job openings and labor turnover survey (JOLTS) are both due out at 10 a.m. ET.

In central banking news, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard is due to speak at Washington University’s Calhoun lecture series in St. Louis. In Texas, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan will be at the Odessa Chamber of Commerce member luncheon, while Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren will attend Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Outlook Breakfast in Boston.

THURSDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were higher on Thursday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 24,483.05  for up with +1.21% percent or +293.60 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,663.99 for up with +0.83% percent or +21.80 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 7,140.25 for up with +1.01% percent or  +71.22 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,557.33 for up  with +0.68% percent or +10.52 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 956.52 for up with +0.52% percent or+4.99 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,890.00 for up with +0.42% percent or  +7.91 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,170.79 for up  with +0.88% percent or +10.21 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,579.68 for up with +0.78% percent or +12.19 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,476.96 for up  with  +0.79% percent or +11.51 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 24,483.05 for up with +1.21% percent or +293.60 point.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 21,778.74 for up  with +0.55% percent or  +118.46 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 30,808.38 with a loss of -0.07% percent or -22.90 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,159.05  with a loss of -0.66% percent or  -21.11 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 34,260.16 for up with +0.47% percent or  +159.03  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,252.69 with a loss of  -0.08% percent or -5.65 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,468.04 for up  with +0.43% percent or  +53.03 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,321.50  for up with +0.23% percent or +12.28 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 379.66  for up  with +0.02% percent or +0.86 point.
