S&P Futures Opening Update as on 07 June 2018

 

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,771.75  with a loss of -0.80% percent or -2,771.75 point. Other U.S. stock futures  mixed in pre-market trading for Thursday, Jun 07  The Dow Futures is trading at 25,267.00 up with +0.44% percent or 111.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,149.75 with a loss of -1.23% percent or -89.25 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

the latest report on nonfarm payrolls again revealed strong gains across the economy, some economists worry that the pace of inflation is not yet hot enough to warrant further increases to the cost of borrowing capital.
“Signals showing the convergence of inflation towards our aim have been improving, and both the underlying strength in the euro area economy and the fact that such strength is increasingly affecting wage formation supports our confidence that inflation will reach a level of below, but close to, 2 percent over the medium term,” Praet said Wednesday.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,268.72 up with +0.49% percent or +122.33 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,774.05 up with  +0.061% percent or  +1.70 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,631.58 with a loss of –0.75% percent or  –57.67 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,666.27  with a loss of –0.58% percent or –9.68point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,034.18 with a loss of –0.48% percent or –4.95 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,986.34 with a loss of –0.16% percent or –3.22 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,217.53 with a loss of –0.14% percent or –1.65 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,646.94  with  a loss of –0.26% percent or –4.32 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,536.39 with a loss of –0.24% percent or -3.69 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,823.26 up with +0.87% percent or +197.53 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 31,512.63 up with +0.81% percent or +253.53 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,109.50 with a loss of  –0.18% percent or –5.68 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,463.08 up with +0.81%percent or  284.20 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,704.40  with  a loss of –0.10% percent or –7.97  point.
