S&P Futures Opening Update as on 25 february 2019

  

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,802.88  up with +0.42% percent or +11.63 point. Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  February 25. The Dow Futures is trading at 26,144.00 up with +0.55% percent or +142.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,127.88 up with +0.56% percent or +39.63 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

In his posts, Trump cited “substantial progress” in bilateral talks between the world’s two largest economies, including intellectual property protection and technology transfer issues. As a result, the president said he would suspend the new levies, however he did not state a new deadline.

Last week, sources familiar with the situation told CNBC that the United States and China are discussing a late March meeting between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Florida.

On the data front, a Chicago Fed National Activity Index is due at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by wholesale trade figures and a Dallas Fed manufacturing survey at 10 a.m. ET.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,031.81 up with +0.70% percent or +181.18  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,792.67 up with  +0.64% percent or +17.79 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,527.54 up with +0.91% percent or +67.84 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,590.06 up with +0.92% percent or+14.51 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 987.29 up with +0.44% percent or +4.34  point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,933.72  up with +0.80% percent or +15.36 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,225.06  up with +0.63% percent or +7.62 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,654.54  up with +0.69% percent or +5.88 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,549.97 up with +0.67% percent or +10.31 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,528.23 up with +0.48% percent or +102.72 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,954.65  up with +0.48% percent or +138.35 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,961.28 up with +5.60% percent or +157.06 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,005.53 up with +0.37% percent or +134.05 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,197.46 up with +0.26% percent or +18.86 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,497.08  up with +0.34% percent or +39.38 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,234.88  up with  +0.37% percent or +19.04 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 372.04  up with +0.22% percent or +0.83 point.
