S&P Futures Opening Update as on 26 february 2019

  

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,789.62  with a loss of -0.26% percent or -7.38 point. Other U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for  February 26. The Dow Futures is trading at 26,036.50  with a loss of -0.24% percent or -62.50 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,103.00 up with -0.32% percent or -22.75 point.

TUESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures were lower Tuesday morning, as market participants wait to see if the world’s two largest economies can secure a comprehensive trade agreement.

Market focus is largely attuned to global trade developments, after President Donald Trump said on Sunday he would delay a tariff hike of $200 billion of Chinese imports. The announcement marked the clearest sign yet that Washington and Beijing were making progress in their protracted dispute.

MONDAY’S ACTIVITY

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,091.95 up with +0.23% percent or +60.14 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,796.11 up with  +0.12% percent or +3.44 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,554.46 up with +0.36% percent or +26.92 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,588.81  with a loss of -0.079% percent or -1.26 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 984.53 with  a loss of -0.28% percent or −2.76 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,933.12 with a loss of -0.031% percent or -0.60 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,228.38  up with +0.27% percent or +3.32 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,656.44 up with +0.12% percent or +1.91 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,552.00 up with +0.13% percent or +2.02 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,449.39  with a loss of -0.37% percent or ?78.84 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,772.06   with a loss of -0.65% percent or -187.24 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,941.52 with a loss of -0.67% percent or -19.77 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,973.71 with a loss of -0.66% percent or -239.67 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,108.68  with  a loss of -1.04% percent or -75.06 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,495.80   with a loss of -0.083% percent or  –9.59 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,217.16  with a loss of  -0.28% percent or -14.68 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 371.68   with a loss of -0.16% percent or -0.61 point.
