S&P Futures Opening Update as on 25 June 2019

 

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,948.38  with a loss of -0.12% percent or -3.62 point.  Other U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for  June 25.  The Dow Futures is trading at 26,738.50  with a loss of -0.09% percent or -23.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,740.62  with a loss of -0.23% percent or -16.87 point.

TUESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Traders are monitoring tensions between Iran and the U.S., after the latter announced sanctions against Tehran. At the same time, there’s also some focus on trade talks between China and Washington ahead of a G-20 meeting laterthis week, where both President Trump and President Xi are due to meet.

In terms of Fed speeches, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will speak at the Council on Foreign Relations, starting at 1 p.m. ET. New York Fed President John Williams will also speak at 8:45 a.m. ET.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,727.54 up with +0.031% percent or +8.41 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,945.35 with a loss of -0.17% percent or -5.11 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,005.70  with a loss of -0.32% percent or -26.01 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,530.08  with a loss of -1.26% percent or -19.54 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 926.59 with a loss of -1.12% percent or -10.46 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,912.65 with a loss of -0.80% percent or -15.46 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,302.82  with a loss of -0.12% percent or -1.54 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,728.08   with a loss of -0.31% percent or -5.37 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,628.99  with a loss of -0.24% or -3.92 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, In other parts of world,  Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,193.81  with a loss of -0.43% percent or -92.18 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,161.20  with a loss of -1.23% percent or -351.80    point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,983.09  with a loss of -0.83% percent or -25.06 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,222.75 up with +0.26% percent or +99.79 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,410.51 with a loss of -0.083% percent or -6.18 point. Germany’s DAX is trading at 12,275.25  UP with +0.0055% percent or +0.68 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,515.94 with a loss of -0.10% percent or -5.77 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 383.51  with a loss of -0.07% percent or -0.26 point.
