S&P Futures Opening Update as on 22 August 2019

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,932.62 up with +0.12% percent or +3.37 point. Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  August 22. The Dow Futures is trading at 26,256.00 up with +0.11% percent or +32.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,755.12 up with +0.06% percent or +4.87 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt yields rose Thursday morning after Kansas City Federal Reserve President Esther George said she disagreed with the central bank’s decision to cut interest rates in July.

At around 8:03 a.m. ET, the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note was higher at around 1.613%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also higher at around 2.096%. The 2-year Treasury yield, which briefly exceeded the 10-year rate on Wednesday, rose to 1.587%

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,048.72 with a loss of –0.84% percent or –221.32 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,883.44 up with +0.11% percent or ++3.10 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,793.62 with a loss of –0.72% percent or –266.75  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 is trading at 7,167.77   with a loss of –0.50% percent or  –36.20 point.
