US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,215.62  with a loss of -0.61% percent or -19.88 point. Other U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for  Jan 06.The Dow Futures is trading at 28,413.50  with a loss of -0.66% percent or -188.50 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 8,745.38 with a loss of -0.73% percent or -64.62 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

European stocks on Monday slumped in a broad-based decline that was the worst in more than a month over worries about increasing Middle East tensions.

The Stoxx Europe 600 SXXP, -0.99%  fell 1.21% to 413.27, the worst drop since the 1.58% fall on Dec. 2.

Banks including HSBC Holdings HSBA, -1.80%, pharmaceutical companies such as Roche ROG, -0.95%  and insurers including Allianz ALV, -1.55% led the decline, which hit pretty much every stock outside of the energy sector.

For the day the Dow is trading at 28,634.88  with a loss of –0.81% percent or –233.92 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,234.85 with a loss of –0.71% percent or -23.00 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,020.77 with a loss of –0.79% percent or 71.42  point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,660.87 with a loss of -0.35%  percent or -5.90 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,020.93  up with  +0.0098% percent or +0.100 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,055.67 up with +0.46% percent or +9.52   point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,446.48  with a loss of –0.80% percent or −11.65 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,894.53 up with +0.12% percent or +2.28 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,787.08 up with +0.16% or +2.87 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,204.86 with a loss of –1.91% percent or -451.76 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,167.92 with a loss of –1.00% percent or –283.58 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,083.41  with a loss of –0.012% percent or –0.38   point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 40,765.85 with a loss of –1.69% percent or –698.76 point at 12:15 PM.Germany’s DAX is trading at 13,007.24 with a loss of –1.60% percent or –211.90 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,977.12   with a loss of –1.11% percent or –67.04 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 414.12  with a loss of -1.01% percent or -4.15  point.
