S&P Futures Opening Update as on 01 May 2017


The S&P 500 Futures trading at 2,384.20 with loss of 0.19% percent . Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading on Monday. The Dow Futures are trading at 20,940.50 with  loss of -0.19% percent. The Nasdaq Futures trading at 5,598.38 for a up with +0.32 percent. The Russell Futures trading  at 1,400.43 for a loss of -1.18% percent.


U.S. equities closed lower on Monday as investors digested economic data and key corporate earnings, but ended April with strong monthly gains.

The Dow Jones industrial average slipped about 40 points, with Intel and Goldman Sachs contributing the most losses. The S&P 500 fell 0.2 percent, with financials and telecommunications leading decliners. The Nasdaq composite hit a fresh record high before closing marginally lower.

That said, the three major indexes posted a monthly advance of about 1 percent. The S&P and the Dow posted their fifth positive month in six, while the Nasdaq recorded its sixth straight monthly gain.



U.S. market indexes were lower on Friday. For the day the S&P 500 closed at 2,384.20 with   0.00% percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was also lower, closing at 20,940.51 with 0.00 percent. The Nasdaq Composite closed lower at 6,047.61 for a up with  -49.39 0.02% percent.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index  at 1,400.43 for a up with –1.18% percent; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index at 851.36 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index at 1,732.76 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 100 Index at 1,054.86 with 0.00% percent; the Russell 3000 Index at 1,414.84 for a up 0.32% percent; the Russell 1000 Index at 1,322.44 for a loss of -0.25 percent; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index at 20,940.51 with 0.00% percent.


In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 was tading at 19,310.52 for a up with 0.59 % percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng trading  at 24,615.13 for a up with 0.34% percent. India’s S&P BSE Sensex was Trading  at 29,918.40 for a loss of 0.37% percent. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was trading at 7,203.94 for a loss of 0.46 percent. Germany’s DAX was trading  at 12,438.01 for a loss of-0.05% percent. France’s CAC 40 is at 5,267.33 for a loss of 0.08 percent. The Stoxx Europe 600 was trading  at 386.72  -0.25 percent.
