US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,433.00 for up with +0.05% percent or +1.25 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Friday, June 23. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,321.00 with a loss of -0.13% percent or -27.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,784.12 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -1.63 point.

FRIDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Friday, as investors geared up for a slew of data releases and speeches by U.S. Federal Reserve members.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.15 percent at 8:28 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.73 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

On the final day of trading for the week, economic data is expected to keep investors busy with manufacturing PMI data and services PMI data due out at 9:45 a.m. ET, followed by the latest new home sales data, out at 10 a.m. ET.

On the central bank front, a whole host of speeches are set to take place by Fed officials on Friday.

In Nashville, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard is expected to appear at the Illinois Bankers Association’s annual conference, where he is expected to comment upon the U.S. economy and monetary policy.

For the day The S&P 500 closed at 2,434.50 with a loss of  –0.05% percent or –1.11 point.the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,397.29 with a loss of  –0.06% percent or –12.74 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,236.68 for up with +0.04% percent or +2.73 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,404.54 for up with +0.38% percent or +5.28 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 845.42 for up with  +0.38% percent or +3.19 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,736.42 for up with +0.09% percent or +1.51 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,073.88 with a loss of –0.05% percent or –0.56 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,441.09 for up with +0.01% percent or +0.10 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,348.68 with a loss of -0.02% percent or -0.31 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,397.29 with a loss of –0.06% percent or –12.74 point.

India’s S&P BSE Sensex are trading at 31,138.21 with a loss of –0.49% percent or –152.53 point. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,425.44 with a loss of –0.20% percent or –14.66 point.
