S&P Futures Opening Update as on 06 November 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,581.12 with a loss of -0.06% percent or -1.63 point. Other U.S. stock futures are Mixed in pre-market trading for Monday , November 06. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,461.50 for up  with +0.05% percent or +12.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,288.88 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -1.62 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were higher on Monday, as investors turned their attention to the latest updates coming out of the auctions and central bank space.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat lower at around 2.325 percent at 5:00 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was down at 2.810 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices

On the auctions front, the U.S. Treasury is set to auction $42 billion in 13-week bills and $36 billion in 26-week bills. It will also announce the size of a four-week bills auction, set to take place Tuesday.

 Looking to the U.S. Federal Reserve, New York Fed President William Dudley is expected to be at an Economic Club of New York’s luncheon in New York.

FRIDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were mixed on Friday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,539.19 for up with +0.10% percent or +22.93 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,587.84 for up with +0.31% percent or  +7.99 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,764.44 for up with +0.74% percent or  +49.49 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,494.91 with a loss of -0.11%   percent or 1.64 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 900.88 with a loss of –0.64% percent or –5.79 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,835.98 for up with +0.25% percent or  +4.64 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,143.41 for up with  +0.35% percent or +3.94 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,532.27 for up with +0.29% percent or +4.36 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,433.88 for up with +0.32% percent or +4.54 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,539.19  for up with +0.10% percent or +22.93 point.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere,  Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,548.35 for up with +0.04% percent or +9.23 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,624.12  for up with +0.07%percent or  +20.51 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,388.17 for up with +0.49% percent or +16.43 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 33,805.18 for up with +0.36% percent or +119.62 point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,554.00 with a loss of  –0.08% percent or –6.35 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 13,450.80  with a loss of  –0.21% percent or –28.06 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,506.53   with a loss of – 0.21% percent or –11.44 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 396.01 with a loss of 0.01% percent or -0.02 point.
