S&P Futures Opening Update as on 15 November 2017

US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,563.38 with a loss of -0.57% percent or -14.62 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Wednesday, November 15. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,240.50 with a loss of  -0.58% percent or -134.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,259.5 with a loss of  -0.54% percent or -33.62 point.

WEDNESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were higher Wednesday, as investors turned their attention to the latest cluster of economic data, while digesting speeches by members of the Federal Reserve.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat lower at around 2.339 percent at 5:00 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was lower at 2.801 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

A fresh flood of economic data is set to shake up sentiment. At 8:30 a.m. ET, retail sales, consumer price index (CPI) data and the Empire State Manufacturing survey are all scheduled for release.

TUESDAY’S ACTIVITY

U.S. market were lower on Tuesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,409.47  with a loss of  –0.13% percent or  –30.23  point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,578.87  with a loss of  –0.23% percent or –5.97 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,737.87  with a loss of  –0.29% percent or  –19.72 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,471.26  with a loss of  -0.26% percent or -3.81 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 894.74  with a loss of  –0.03% percent or –0.30 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,826.80  with a loss of  –0.12% percent or –2.13 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,136.74  with a loss of –0.36% percent or –4.08 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,525.27  with a loss of  –0.23% percent or  –3.58point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,428.64  with a loss of  –0.23% percent or –3.33 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,409.47 with a loss of –0.13% percent or  –30.23 point.

WORLD MARKETS

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 22,028.32 with a loss of –1.57% percent or –351.69 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 28,851.69 with a loss of –1.03% percent or  –300.43 point. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,402.52 with a loss of –0.79% percent or –27.02 point. India’s BSE Sensex are trading at 32,738.28 with a loss of –0.62% percent or –204.85  point at 12:15 PM.The FTSE 100 are trading at 7,374.86 with  a loss of –0.53% percent or –39.60 point. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,860.58 with a loss of  –1.33% percent or –172.90 point. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,281.80 with a loss of – 0.64% percent or –33.78 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 380.20 with a loss of -0.95% percent or -3.66 point.
