US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,597.00 for up with  +0.03% percent or +0.75 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Wednesday, November 22. The Dow Futures are trading at 23,571.50 for up  with +0.12% percent or +28.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,376.88  with a loss of -0.04% percent or -2.62 point.

WEDNESDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Wednesday, as investors turn their attention to the latest meeting minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.372 percent at 5:30 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.777 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

The latest FOMC minutes are expected to keep bond markets on their toes during the session.

The minutes from the last FOMC meeting, which took place from October 31 to November 1, will be published at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

While the U.S. central bank left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at the previous meeting, the Fed did however maintain positive language on the current state of the U.S. economy.

U.S. market were higher on Tuesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,590.83 for up with  +0.69% percent or  +160.50 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,599.03 for up with +0.65% percent or +16.89 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,862.48 for up with +1.06% percent or  +71.76 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,518.89 for up with +1.03% percent or +15.49 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 927.81 for up with +1.31% percent or +12.01 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,858.96 for up with +0.64% percent or +11.75 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,144.85 for up  with +0.76% percent or +8.65 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,541.79 for up with +0.69% percent or +10.60 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,441.63 for up with +0.66% percent or +9.52 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,590.83 for up with +0.69% percent or  +160.50 point.
