US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,633.75 for up with +0.33% percent or +8.75 point. Other U.S. stock futures are higher in pre-market trading for Thursday, November 30. The Dow Futures are trading at 24,014.00 for up  with +0.40 percent or +93.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 6,327.88 for up with +0.35% percent or +22.38 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were lower on Thursday, ahead of key speeches by leading members of the U.S. Federal Reserve.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat higher at around 2.391 percent at 4:50 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was up at 2.831 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

With the Senate Budget Committee having approved the Senate’s tax plan on Tuesday, this brings the upper chamber closer to a floor vote. This vote is slated to occur Thursday.

 Investors have been eagerly awaiting tax reform since the election in 2016, yet doubts over whether the Republican-led Congress could achieve this before the year is out continues to weigh on sentiment

U.S. market were higher on Wednesday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,940.68 for up with +0.44% percent or +103.97 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,626.07 with a loss of –0.04% percent or –0.97 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,824.39  with a loss of –1.27% percent or –87.97 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,542.30 for up with +0.38% percent or +5.86 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 944.10 with for up +0.68% percent or +6.33 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,888.90 for up with +0.46% percent or  +8.64 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,158.25 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -0.32 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,557.70  with a loss of –0.01% percent or –0.20 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,455.90  with a losss of –0.05% percent or –0.66 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,940.68 for up with +0.44% percent or +103.97 point.
