S&P Futures Opening Update as on 03 October 2019


The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,885.88 up with +0.19% percent or +5.38 point. Other U.S. stock futures higher in pre-market trading for  october 03.The Dow Futures is trading at 26,027.50 up with +0.16% percent or +42.50 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,567.00 up with +0.27% percent or +20.75 point.


We’ll know soon if the pullback in the U.S. manufacturing sector is poisoning the rest of the economy.

Ahead of us on Thursday is the Institute for Supply Management’s non-manufacturing survey, which comes after a grim manufacturing report earlier this week that heightened recession fears. And Friday’s big U.S. jobs report is still to come.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,078.62 with a loss of -1.86% percent or -494.42  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,887.61 with a loss of -1.79% percent or -52.64 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,785.25  with a loss of -1.56% percent or  -123.44 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,479.63  with a loss of – percent or –13.80 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 919.11  with a loss of – percent or −10.16 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,873.82 with a loss of percent or –26.20 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,276.91  with a loss of – percent or –23.77 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,691.05 with a loss of – percent or −29.07 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,595.35 with a loss of – or 28.30 point.

In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,341.74 with a loss of –2.01% percent or  –436.87 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,116.10 up with +0.28% percent or  +73.41 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,905.19 with a loss of –0.92% percent or –26.98 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,109.65 with a loss of  –0.51% percent or –195.76  point at 12:15 PM. Germany’s DAX is trading at 11,925.25 with a loss of – percent or –338.58 point. France’s CAC 40 is trading at 5,444.44 with a loss of percent or –21.67 point. The Stoxx Europe 600 is trading at 377.00 with a loss of -0.14% percent or -0.52  point.
