S&P Futures Opening Update as on 30 May 2017


The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,409.25  with a loss of -0.19% percent. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Tuesday, May 30. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,037.50 with a loss of  -0.14% percent . The Nasdaq Futures are trading at  5,784.88 with a loss of -0.13%    percent.


U.S. government debt prices were lower on Tuesday as investors parsed through a fresh batch of economic data.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes, which moves inversely to price, was lower at around 2.245 percent, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was also lower at 2.906 percent.

On the data front, personal income rose 0.4 percent in April, in line with expectations, and consumer spending increased by 0.4 percent. Other data set for release Tuesday include the S&P Case-Shiller HPI (Home Price Indices), consumer confidence and Dallas Federal Reserve manufacturing data for May.


U.S. market indexes were higher on Monday. For the day the S&P 500 closed at 2,415.82 with 0.00% percent. The Dow Jones Industrial closed at 21,080.28 with 0.00% percent. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,210.19 for up with +0.08% percent.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,382.24 with a loss of -0.08% percent; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 837.50 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,727.27 with 0.00% percent; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,065.35 with 0.00% percent; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,429.38 for up with +0.02% percent; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,338.57 for up with 0.02% percent; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,080.28 with 0.00% percent.


In overnight trading in the Eastern Hemisphere, Japan’s Nikkei 225 are trading at 19,677.85 with a loss of –0.02% percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng are trading at 25,701.63 for up with +0.24% percent. China’s Shanghai Composite are trading at 3,110.06 for up with +0.07% percent. India’s S&P BSE Sensex closed at 31,159.40 for up with +0.16% percent. In Europe, the FTSE 100 are trading at 7,516.90 with a loss of 0.41% percent. Germany’s DAX are trading at 12,616.58 with a loss of 0.10% percent. France’s CAC 40 are trading at 5,299.93 with a loss of –0.61% percent. The Stoxx Europe 600 are trading at 390.41 with a loss of -0.21% percent.
