US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures are trading at 2,465.00 with a loss of -0.02% percent or -0.50 point. Other U.S. stock futures are lower in pre-market trading for Thursday, September 07. The Dow Futures are trading at 21,802.00  with a loss of -0.05% percent or -12.50 point. The Nasdaq Futures are trading at 5,956.25 for up with +0.02% percent or +1.25 point.

THURSDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. government debt prices were higher on Thursday as uncertainty surrounding a 3-month debt ceiling extension and government’s funding plan was laid to rest. Investors also awaited news from European Central Bank’s latest Governing Council meeting.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note sat in the red at around 2.088 percent at 5.50 a.m. ET, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was down at 2.706 percent. Bond yields move inversely to prices.

Investors will be paying close attention to news coming out of Washington D.C. Over the last day, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, announced that they were prepared to vote in favor of a three-month debt limit increase.

 Following this announcement, it was reported by the two Democrats that President Donald Trump would support the debt ceiling extension and government funding plan.

U.S. market were higher on wednesday. For the day The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,807.64 for up with  +0.25% percent or +54.33 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,465.54 for up with +0.31% percent or +7.69 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,393.31 for up with +0.28% percent or +17.74 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,402.20 for up with  +0.18% percent or +2.54 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 839.94 for up with +0.24% percent or +2.01 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,719.67 for up with +0.08% percent or +1.33 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,090.44 for up with +0.34% percent or +3.70 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,457.77 for up with  +0.28% percent or +4.07 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,365.77 for up with +0.29% percent or +3.92 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,807.64 for up with +0.25% percent or +54.33 point.
