US PRE MARKET

The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,890.62  with a loss of -1.43% percent or -41.88 point.   Other U.S. stock futures lower in pre-market trading for  August 05.  The Dow Futures is trading at 26,092.00  with a loss of -1.35% percent or -357.00 point. The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,560.00  with a loss of -1.85% percent or -142.25 point.

MONDAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

At 7:19 a.m. ET, the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note, which moves inversely to price, was lower at around 1.758%, off a low under 1.75%. The yield on the 30-year Treasury bond was lower at 2.303%.

Financial markets tumbled as U.S.-China trade friction prompted a stampede into relative safe harbors, including bonds, gold and the Japanese yen.

The panic is seen spreading to Wall Street, with futures signaling sharp lossesin their benchmark indices.
